Limited Edition Viscosity Collagraph Print 16cm square
Fragments: Industrial North 3/7 was made using the viscosity inking method where three inks are added to the collagraph plate before putting through the press.
The collagraph plates are achieved by layering up materials, and marking and scoring into the plates with found objects from the landscape or personal items of sentimental value: coins from her father's collection are embedded into coastal-themed prints, symbolizing hidden treasures and evoking memories of the Cornish coast. Much of Becca’s work is produced using the viscosity inking technique where three inks are put on the same plate at once, a technique developed in the 1950’s. Due to the way the plates are inked all prints are unique even if they use the same colours.
